Reading both hands: the passive life and the active one

Two palms that disagreed. The disagreement was the reading.

An open palm with fine golden lines traced over it

A client sent both palms, as we ask. In his case the two hands did not match — and that mismatch turned out to be the whole reading.

The classical method

In Eastern palmistry the non-dominant hand is read as the life you were born with, the dominant hand as the life you are building. When the two agree, the person is broadly on their own path. When they diverge, the divergence is informative: it shows the distance between the inherited disposition and the constructed one.

His palms

The passive hand showed a deep, unbroken Life Line and a short, low Head Line — a constitution built for endurance, and a mind that prefers concrete problems. The active hand showed the opposite: a longer Head Line and a noticeably shallower Life Line.

Read together: a person born to physical steadiness who had spent two decades building a life of abstraction, at the cost of his constitution. He is a software architect from a family of farmers. He knew, but had never seen it said so plainly.
