An open palm with fine golden lines traced over it

She sent photographs of both palms for a palmistry reading and said almost nothing else — no context, no question.

What the palms showed

The Head Line on the right hand carried a pronounced break at roughly the two-fifths position, with a clear offset rather than a clean continuation. In the classical reading, a Head Line break with offset indicates an interruption to the personu2019s way of thinking — not a catastrophe, but a forced change in method.

Dating is imprecise, but the position placed it in her late twenties.

What she told us afterwards

She had left a doctoral programme in her late twenties after a serious illness, and had never returned to academic work. She had described the decision to friends as a choice. Her own private understanding was that something had ended.

Why we publish this

Not because a line predicted an event. Because she wrote back that the reading had been the first time anyone had described the shape of that period accurately without her explaining it first. That is the useful function of palmistry: it names what the person already knows.
